Nothing to Report

I've lost the stitching bug. It has had a tight hold for such a long time, but I think the latest fabric fiasco has acted as an antibiotic. I haven't picked up a needle for over a week!

I'm not too worried about it. It's time to take a stitching break, to be honest. There are other things happening in life which need my attention. I'm playing more piano, walking the dogs a lot and getting myself organised for a B-I-G semester at uni (which starts next week).

I'll keep visiting blogs and commenting. It's in my own stitching that I'm not interested. Yours I'm still avidly admiring. Visit me at my Daily Bliss site which tells you about what's happening in my world when I'm not cross stitching.

I hope things are going well for you, wherever you are.

Bliss

No, no, no, you can loose the stitching bug: there are too many nice project to do !!! lol But I understand: piano is so beautiful to listen.

I was like you when I got my perfect fabric with a hole: I felt so disapointed but my mojo can back and I rock !!! (so to speak :-p lol )

I know what you mean about the linen and the "variations" they have. I have been more than once unnerved by what came in the post as to what I ordered... I am luck in that I have a great store (Needle in a Haystack) very close that has lots of choice and so I can see many pieces of linen before I choose a piece. The progress on QC is great - I loved doing mine.

I just recently rediscovered my stitching desire and I couldn't be happier about it.

Bliss I LOVE your saying about living life! Glad to hear you are still finding joy in the things you love...music, pets etc. It can't all be about stitching, can it? Take care!

Sometimes I think it helps to take a break. Mine is more an enforced break than by choice but I'm hoping when the stitching bug comes back it is flying so fast my needles start smoking

Well, hope your break is what it takes to get back into the stitching mood. We all probably need that here and there. Hand-dyed fabric is a tough thing to buy online sometimes for the exact reason you had problems. Sorry your experience was so bad.

I hope the stitching bug comes back soon, I love seeing all your work.
Somebody recently sent me that pattern so whenever I get around to it I'll make sure to avoid that "company".

hope all is well...my stitching has come to a screaming halt....but the knitting bug and quilting bug has taken over....at an excessive speed! LOL
I envy you being able to play a musical instrument...I would love to learn the guitat, but I can't even think about taking up yet another hobby! lol

Try a small project...something you can complete quickly...and you might get your stitching mojo back.
