Works in Progress

I've fallen for a little bear called Popcorn. He and his mates are as cute as cute can be. I have a series of cross stitch projects featuring this little character that I plan to stitch over the next few months (or years).

Our kids will get all nervous, I'm sure. When I finish each Popcorn project, I'm going to hang it in the visitors' bedroom. All the room will then need is a cot and grandchildren.

That's not all, folks. I started artist Charles Wysocki's (1992) 'Frederick the Literate' cross stitch adaptation about a year ago but got absolutely no where with it due to our very busy life. Now that everything is more relaxed, it's time to get in and do some more to it. I don't think of this sweet cat as Frederick. To me and my family, it's our two year old cat, Gypsy, sleeping on OUR library bookshelf.

Last, but not least, I am working on this cute sampler. I bought it in London way back in 1999 and have been spasmidically working on it ever since. It's almost done. All I have to do is finish off Piglet and do the outside borders. The child I started it for is almost finished primary school, so I guess I'll eventually find a new home for it.

Watch this space. Now that I have learned to upload pics, I'll start putting up progress reports.

Blissful stitching!
