A Travelling Stitcher

Welcome to a new era in Blissful blogging!

Castle Bliss has been abandonned. The MOTH is no more.
Lucy & Harry are living with The Living Doll.

The Drama Queen is, of course, still the drama queen
(some things one cannot be changed).

Before you have heart palpitations, I should explain myself.

The MOTH has taken up a new position in the company for which he works.
This has required us to move from Brisbane, Queensland to Perth, Western Australia. We're about 4,000km from home and having the time of our lives!

We've taken an apartment in the city centre for a year.
If we stay longer, we will buy a house with room for the pooches.

The MOTH has become The MOTA (Man of the Apartment)!
The Drama Queen is teaching part-time and has taken up piano lessons.

The TUSAL glass is perched upon the piano & restarting from zero.

I've also joined a stitching group for the first time in my life.
Mondays & Wednesdays, you will find me travelling with TransPerth to Colours Down Under, still the most diverse cross stitch supply store I have visited worldwide (see my May 2009 entries), to join other stitchers for needlework, chat and a lot of laughter.

As I have plenty of time on my hands, I finished the Traveling Stitcher project in a week. I'm going to make at into a little zippered bag (not unlike a pencil case or small makeup bag) to carry my scissors, tape and needles.

I've also started another knitting project, this time for yours truly.
I'm using Patons Inca Lite which is supposed to be an 8ply wool but which is actually a 12 ply wool. There's no escape from those wretched fine knitting needles which made my hands so sore.
I love it!

The finished product will be well worth the effort.
I first made a jumper / pullover like this way back in 1998 when I needed something to keep me warm in France.

Wish me well!

I'll be back soon with more news, I'm sure.

O-La-La! It all sounds deliciously decadent and oh so well deserved! It has a bit of a 'newlywed' ring to it! Congrats to The Drama Queen & MOTA for jumping in with both feet.

Wow that's one hell of a long way to move lol. Good luck to both of you in your new appartment, and new life. Hope you aren't missing the dogs too much, I know I would ^^

Perth is a gorgeous city. I went there for a holiday some years ago and loved it. Would like to return one day. I hope that all goes well for you and the MOTA.
