Frederick the Literate - Progress at last!

It's coming along nicely, don't you think? I've done about 10 hours work in the last 3 weeks - some of which was frogging!

Today, I tried my hand at dyeing some cloth. I used coffee grounds. It looks good.

I've attended to the tag of Six Weird Things About Me. Have a look here. I need six people who haven't been tagged. Probably one of my unusual things should have read: I don't like asking people to do things for me (which is very different to me wearing either my teacher or nursing hats).

Happy stitching everyone!

I love the cat piece, it's coming along really nicely. I was looking at your 2007 projects in your side bar and I'm hoping to have most of those stitched starting this year too. We have similar taste.

He looks fabulous!!! I really must stitch even longer hours to catch up. Must say I'm thoroughly enjoying him now and will be SALing again tonight.

Frederick looks great. It looks like you gridded the fabric, how do you get the grid lines out after you're done? I've never put a grid on my fabric before, but have a couple of projects I've thought of doing it on, but didn't know how I'd get the lines out afterwards.

It's just tacking, Sue. It comes out quite easily. I started doing it about a year ago. I saw a professional embroiderer used it for stitching photograph conversions so thought I would try it. It's brilliant for me. I seem to choose quite elaborate projects, & it makes them really easy to do. The good thing is that I can start stitching wherever I feel like stitching rather than from centre radiating out to the sides. Try it on a small part of a bigger project & see how you go. Bliss

What a cute piece! I can't wait to see it once he's done. I agree with you on the weird things. I've gotten tagged but am having a hard time finding 6 folks who haven't been.

Frederick is coming along nicely. I've already been tagged. It's interesting to read about what people find weird about themselves.
